STIWA Group
Unified
Strategy Process for the STIWA Group
A shared understanding of strategy connects the entire company, business units, and international locations – with a common language and regular strategy reviews.
The Organization
Leading Provider in Manufacturing Automation
The STIWA Group, headquartered in Attnang-Puchheim, is a family-owned company and, with its range of services in mechanical engineering, software development, and service, is one of the leading providers in the field of manufacturing automation. A second essential business area is automotive supplier production using its own high-performance automation.
The internationally active company, with locations in Austria, Germany, the USA, and China, currently has over 2,000 employees and generates an annual turnover of over €350 million.
The Challenge
Key Elements of the Assignment:
With the further development of its corporate and organizational structure, STIWA faced the challenge of standardizing strategic work across different levels and business areas. Strategies for the entire company, individual business units, and international locations were to be developed and regularly updated according to a common logic.
The goal was therefore to establish a company-wide valid strategy process that, on the one hand, provides sufficient orientation and comparability, and on the other hand, allows individual business units the necessary flexibility for their specific strategic alignment.
-
Strategy development at the level of the entire company, business units, and international locations
-
Development of a unified strategy process with comparable procedures, methods, and results
-
Support for the respective management teams in independently developing their strategies
-
Establishment of a common understanding of strategy and a common language within the entire organization
-
Anchoring regular review processes for continuous updating of strategies
-
Ensuring implementation by linking strategic work with existing internal control processes
