Renowate
Sharpening strategy, strengthening shared values, ensuring implementation
A collaborative process combines strategic alignment, a cross-location understanding of values, and Strategy Scrum for consistent implementation.
The Company
Specialist for serial building renovation in the DACH region
Renowate is a total solution provider for serial energy-efficient renovation of existing buildings operating in the DACH region. The company supports property owners from digital building surveys and integrated planning to industrial prefabrication of facade and roof elements and turnkey assembly. This allows buildings to be modernized more quickly, predictably, and with less disruption for residents.
The Challenge
Key elements of the assignment:
Renowate faces several strategic challenges: The high demand for renovation of existing buildings in the DACH region opens up significant growth opportunities, while funding conditions and the competitive situation are constantly changing. Furthermore, the company’s rapid growth has led to differing understandings of strategy and values across various locations.
IMARK supported Renowate in a three-stage process to sharpen its strategic alignment, further develop a shared understanding of values, and establish a binding process for implementing strategic projects using “Strategy Scrum.”
-
Refinement of vision, mission, core business, positioning, and strategic goals
-
Further development of the cross-location understanding of values and associated training for executives
-
Establishment of agile project controlling (“Strategy Scrum”) for strategy implementation and ongoing support
The cornerstones of our approach:
A cross-location project team consisting of management, executives, and employees worked together on the strategic alignment, the refinement of Renowate values and associated behaviors, and the consistent implementation of the strategic direction.
Sharpening Strategy & Positioning:
Analysis of relevant market and environmental developments as well as workshops to define positioning and strategic goals. Concrete strategic projects were derived from these in a joint leadership workshop.
Translating values into concrete behavior:
Cross-location assessment and collective reflection on current behaviors—both positive and critical aspects. Based on this, the target values were translated into concrete behaviors and initiatives for daily work.
Managing Implementation:
A Strategy Scrum process was established for the prioritized strategic projects, defining clear responsibilities and a binding “Definition of Done.” Regular sprint reviews and feedback loops created transparency regarding progress and the need for action for each project and milestone.
Result & Impact
Benefits for Schlüter-Systems:
By combining strategic alignment, a shared understanding of values, and consistent implementation, Renowate creates the foundation for a more focused and effective development of the company.
