Interspar Austria
Employee
Satisfaction as a Basis for HR & Employer Branding Management
Together with EPOS, IMARK supports Interspar with recurring employee satisfaction monitoring – from online surveys to ongoing results analysis in the IMARK Insight Viewer.
The Company
Austria's Leading Hypermarket Operator
Interspar GmbH, headquartered in Salzburg, is the largest subsidiary of the SPAR Austria Group and operates approximately 70 hypermarkets and 7 Maxi Markets throughout Austria. The core business is supplemented by around 80 catering locations and 8 artisan bakeries. In total, Interspar employs over 10,000 people in very diverse roles – from headquarters to markets, production, and catering.
The Challenge
Key elements of the assignment:
For the ongoing management of all HR and employer branding activities, Interspar requires a quick, annually repeatable picture of employee satisfaction that serves as a reliable data basis for internal action planning, broken down to the level of individual markets.
-
Purely online survey with a short fieldwork period to reach all locations quickly and without disrupting daily operations
-
Coverage of all markets, regions, and business areas – markets, central departments, bakeries, restaurants, as well as the subsidiary Maximarkt with its own markets and headquarters
-
Fixed set of question blocks as a basis for time series comparisons in the coming years (building on EPOS’s question pool)
-
Display of results in a data dashboard (IMARK Insight Viewer) with permanent online access for management and HR
The cornerstones of our approach:
The survey combines a compact set of key metrics with open-ended response formats and an analysis of internal brand perception. This creates an overall sentiment that not only measures the degree of satisfaction but also explains its drivers.
Development of a customized online questionnaire on overall satisfaction, eNPS, and key influencing areas such as leadership, collaboration, development, and onboarding, as well as concrete suggestions for improvement
Measurement of internal employer brand perception through spontaneous associations
Conducting the survey, including complete data management by IMARK and EPOS
Results preparation and management workshops with management, HR, and business unit heads
Setup of a data dashboard for ongoing results queries and annual monitoring
Methods
Methods and techniques used (among others):
-
Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS)
-
Driver analysis for overall satisfaction
-
Brand perception – spontaneous associations
-
Subgroup benchmarking by region, market, business area, department, and age
-
Data dashboard for permanent online access to results
